How does the quality slider work?
Quality 1–100 controls the lossy compression level passed to the browser Canvas encoder. For JPEG: 80 is a great balance (visually lossless for most photos). For PNG: quality controls zlib compression level — 100% is lossless, lower values enable lossy quantization. For WebP: 80–85 matches JPEG visual quality at roughly half the file size.
What does Resize do?
Set a Max Width and/or Max Height in pixels. The tool scales the image proportionally (aspect ratio always preserved) so neither dimension exceeds the limits. Leave at 0 to keep original dimensions.
