Examples

IP example: For 192.0.2.25, many IP DNSBLs use the query 25.2.0.192.zone.example. The checker creates that reversed form automatically.

Domain example: A sender checks mail.example.com against a domain-capable reputation zone. Results can differ from its outbound IP reputation.

Unavailable example: A zone returns no public answer through the resolver. Treat that as unknown, not as proof that the sender is not listed.

What is an email blacklist or DNSBL?

Does a DNSBL listing mean all my email is blocked?

Can this tool check any IP address?

Can it check a domain instead of an IP?
Yes. For domain-based zones, enter a fully qualified sending domain. Not every DNSBL supports domain queries, so an unavailable result does not prove a domain has a clean reputation.
Why is a lookup marked unavailable?
Public DNS resolvers, browser CORS policy, rate limits, and DNSBL operator access rules can prevent a definitive response. The tool reports unavailable status rather than treating it as a clean result.
What should I do if I am listed?
Identify the listing operator and reason, stop the underlying abuse or misconfiguration, review authentication and list practices, then follow that operator’s documented delisting process. Do not request delisting before fixing the cause.
Does this tool store the IP or domain I enter?
No. The value is used for the current browser lookup only. DNS requests are sent to the chosen DNS-over-HTTPS resolver as part of the query.
