SRT Formatter / Cleaner

Subtitles from editors, transcripts or translators are often messy. The SRT Formatter / Cleaner turns them into a tidy, consistent file.

By default it strips HTML and font tags, renumbers cues in order, trims whitespace and merges extra blank lines. Cues are also sorted by time so a jumbled file becomes chronological. Optionally it can close tiny gaps between cues. Paste your SRT and clean it.

• Tag stripping: removes <font>, <b>, <i> markup.
• Renumber: sequential cue numbers.
• Trim: stray spaces and blank lines.
• Sort: chronological by start time.
• Gap fix: optional minimum gap.

1. Paste your SRT (sample preloaded).
2. Toggle options as needed.
3. Click Format & Clean SRT to get the result.
