Because requirements vary by destination and product, use the output as a strong starting point and confirm the final set with your freight forwarder or customs broker.

Example: An exporter shipping general cargo by sea under CIF terms, paid by letter of credit, sees a bill of lading, insurance certificate, and bill of exchange added to the standard commercial invoice and packing list — because CIF puts insurance on the seller and an LC requires a draft.
